Data controller

Marseille Provence Driver — sole proprietorship (entreprise individuelle) of Yahiaoui Hamid, 8 Impasse Marcel Hochet, 13127 Vitrolles, France · SIRET 892 691 288 00021 · VTC registry EVTC013210032. Contact: contact@marseilleprovencedriver.com or +33 6 58 25 46 10. The site does not create customer accounts and has no database: the information you send reaches the operator’s mailbox by email and, for online payments, the company’s Stripe account. No data is sold.

Data processed and purposes

• Fare simulator (home pages): pick-up and destination addresses, requested date and time, number of passengers and bags, return trip if any, then the calculated distance, duration and price. This data is used to calculate the price. The pick-up and destination coordinates returned by Google are also used, in your browser, to check that the trip starts or ends in the Bouches-du-Rhône area; if neither does, no price is shown and you are invited to message us on WhatsApp. Each simulation, including out-of-area ones (flagged “out of area”), is also emailed to the operator, together with the address of the page viewed, the referring source (for example a Google ad or a search engine) and the device type (mobile or desktop), to understand requests and support business follow-up. The device type is worked out in your browser; the browser’s full technical identifier (user-agent) is included neither in the simulation data sent to the site’s server nor in that email.
• Booking: first and last name, phone number, email, flight, train or ship number, free comment and trip details. This data is used to confirm and carry out the ride, to contact you before and during it (phone, WhatsApp or email) and to issue the invoice. It is emailed to the operator as soon as the booking summary is generated, and again when you click the payment button, even if the booking is not completed, so that we can get back to you. Choosing a vehicle and clicking a phone button on the home pages also send the trip and, where applicable, the contact details already entered to the site’s server, without any email. For a booking without online payment (paid on board), the request is emailed to the operator and you receive a confirmation email, with a calendar file (.ics) when the date and time are filled in.
• Online payment: card details are entered only on Stripe’s secure payment page (Stripe Checkout); Marseille Provence Driver never sees or stores them. The booking details (name, email, phone, addresses, date and time, return trip if any, passengers, bags, vehicle, price, distance and duration, flight, train or ship number, comment and booking summary) are sent to Stripe and recorded with the payment. Stripe may offer you Link, its service for saving payment methods. Once the payment is confirmed, the operator is notified by email and you receive a confirmation email, with a calendar file (.ics) when the date and time are filled in.
• Contact form: name, email, phone, message, page address, referring source and device type, emailed to the operator so that we can reply.
• WhatsApp buttons: a click opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message, which is passed to WhatsApp when the link opens. Depending on the button, this message may contain your trip, the date and time, the number of passengers and bags and the calculated prices and, from the booking summary, the chosen vehicle and price, the return trip if any, your name, phone number, flight, train or ship number and comment. The click also sends an information email to the operator: page, referring source and, on the home pages, the details already entered in the simulator and booking form.
• Audience measurement and advertising: see “Cookies, storage and audience measurement” below.
• Security and operation: to limit abuse, the site’s functions use your IP address in their temporary memory, without writing it to a file or a database. The site’s functions write operating information to the host’s technical logs: event type, button clicked, page viewed and source of the visit (without name, phone number, email or address), addresses, without their parameters, of the pages and blocked resources reported by the browser’s security policy, the technical payment reference when a Stripe notification is received twice, and error messages, including those returned by Stripe or Resend, which may quote the rejected data (for example an email address); when a payment is rejected because of a price mismatch, only the amounts, the vehicle and whether it is a return trip are written to them, without the addresses.

Legal bases

• Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps: price calculation, booking, payment, confirmation, exchanges by form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Legitimate interest: business follow-up of simulations and unfinished requests, website security and abuse prevention.
• Consent: Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies and advertising signals, where your consent is required (see below).
• Legal obligation: retention of invoices and accounting records.

Cookies, storage and audience measurement

This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (audience measurement, conversion tracking and ad personalisation) through Google Consent Mode. The Google script is loaded on every page. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland or certain territories (Réunion, Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Mayotte, Saint Martin and Gibraltar), Google cookies and advertising signals are denied by default: without your consent, given via the cookie banner, no Google cookie is set and only cookieless technical signals are sent to Google, for aggregate measurement and statistical modelling; ad click identifiers present in the page address (for example gclid) may be carried over in links as you browse. If you are visiting from another country, these cookies are on by default; the banner’s “Decline” button switches them off. The banner covers Google Analytics and Google Ads only: it does not block Google Maps (needed for the simulator), payment or the emails described above. You can change your choice at any time here: Manage cookie choices — with no impact on booking.

Data sent to Google Analytics and Google Ads: page views (on the home pages, the pick-up and destination parameters are removed from the page address; on the payment confirmation and cancellation pages, the address is sent without its parameters), type of simulated trip (airport, station, port or address — never the address itself), distance and price, choice of a predefined pick-up point, booking steps (vehicle, amount), quote starts (where the click came from), clicks on WhatsApp and phone buttons and on “Book” links (link text and address), form submissions (form identifier, without its content), purchases (amount, vehicle, truncated technical payment reference) and cancelled payments. The IP anonymisation option (anonymize_ip) is set.

Enhanced conversions (Google Ads): after a successful online payment, the confirmation page passes your email, phone number (in international format) and first and last name to the Google script, which converts them into hashed form before sending them to Google, in order to link the booking to a possible ad click. Under Google Consent Mode, this data is only sent if the corresponding consent is granted (consent via the banner in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland; no refusal elsewhere) and if enhanced conversions are enabled in the Google Ads account.

Browser storage (separate from cookies):

• mpd_cookie_choice (local storage): your “Accept” or “Decline” choice, valid for 6 months (183 days): after that it is deleted on your next visit and the banner is shown again; you can also change it at any time or clear the site’s data;
• mpd_cookie_choice_ts (local storage): the date of that choice, used to count the 6 months (a choice saved without a date is dated on your next visit); deleted together with the choice;
• mpd_resume (session storage): the simulator and booking form fields (addresses, date, time, passengers, bags, name, phone, email, flight, train or ship number, comment), to restore a booking in progress after a reload; deleted when the tab is closed and ignored after 2 hours;
• mpd_last_sim (session storage): the last simulated trip (addresses, date, time, passengers, bags, return trip), to avoid duplicate emails for 3 minutes; deleted when the tab is closed;
• confirmation page: a session flag that prevents the same purchase from being counted twice.

Recipients and processors

The data is intended for the operator, Marseille Provence Driver. To provide the service, it is processed by the following providers, each for a specific purpose:

• Netlify — website hosting, including its web fonts, and execution of its server functions (simulation, contact, payment, confirmations), with their technical logs;
• Cloudflare — domain name management (DNS);
• Stripe — secure online payment and recording of the booking details attached to the payment;
• Resend — sending the site’s emails: notifications to the operator (simulations, requests, bookings, contact messages, WhatsApp clicks) and booking confirmation emails;
• Google — Google Maps Platform for the simulator: the Google Maps script is loaded as soon as you select, tap or type in an address field; the characters you type are sent to Google to suggest addresses (Places autocomplete), then the pick-up and destination addresses to calculate the route, distance and duration, and possibly display a route map, which may also load web fonts from Google’s servers; the same applies when a trip pre-filled by a link on the site, or restored after the page is reloaded, is calculated. Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (see “Cookies, storage and audience measurement”);
• WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp: this service processes your messages under its own terms and privacy policy.

The emails described above are received and kept in the operator’s mailbox.

Transfers outside the European Union

Netlify, Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend, Google and Meta (WhatsApp) may process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. These transfers rely on the GDPR safeguards chosen by each provider: the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and/or certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention periods

• Data linked to the commercial relationship or a request (contact details, simulations, message and ride history): up to 3 years from the last contact.
• Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by French accounting law (article L123-22 of the Commercial Code), in restricted-access archiving.
• Card details: never kept by Marseille Provence Driver (entered only with Stripe).
• Browser storage: see “Cookies, storage and audience measurement”.
• IP address used against abuse: temporary memory of the site’s functions only.
• Data kept by providers (payments at Stripe, Netlify technical logs, Google Analytics and Google Ads data, emails passing through Resend): periods set by these providers and by the configuration of the company’s accounts. Google Analytics 4: event data linked to cookies is kept for 14 months (the setting chosen in the account); after that, only aggregated statistics remain.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to processing (in particular to the business follow-up of your simulations), to restrict processing and to data portability, as well as the right to set guidelines for what happens to your data after your death. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, for example with the “Manage cookie choices” link above. To exercise these rights: contact@marseilleprovencedriver.com. We reply within one month, which may be extended in the cases provided for by the GDPR. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, www.cnil.fr).
